Lofting

I put together this page to hopefully help some people along with Lofting.

"What is Lofting?" you ask? Lofting is an old tradition in the Conlegium Sicariorum where the lofts on the roof of the guild are built once a year by house members. At the end of the Lofting season the Guild Master or Mistress will decide which house has made the best loft (and other factors might affect his/her decision too) and will award them the Roary Pig.

Items for the lofts can be found around the streets of Ankh-Morpork by "search"ing. Items you can use come in different shapes and sizes: supports (masts, beams, posts, etc), walls (sheets of iron, etc) and doors (privy doors, carriage doors, etc). Various skills come into play, like carpentry for building and climbing to add parts. The loft is finished when the House Mistress or Master adds the final tile on the roof.

Damaged items cannot be repaired. They must simply be used in the damage they are found. There is a well supported theory that the better the condition of the item the better it will make your loft appear.
